- First time sailors, John, John, Patrick and Deborah, seemed to enjoy themselves and learn a lot in the process.
- We were blessed with fine weather and moderate south easterly winds driving us all the way down the south coast of England.
- Being chased out of the Lulworth firing ranges ever so politely by the Range Patrol Officers.
- Being chased into Weymouth bay by an ever so friendly lone dolphin.
- A spinnaker reach of 5.5 hours at 8 knots all the way from Portland Bill to Berry Head.
- Dartmouth harbour views.
- The 'Best Cornish Pasties ever' from the Fowey butchers.
- Meeting Poppy Nash and her friend Rowan in Falmouth.
Chris, That all sounds fantastic. The wind at the start of the week made me think about conditions later in Scotland when I join you for 7 but Im sure it will be great. Ill keep an eye on progress. Hope Leg 2 is just as much fun. Best, Bill
